Ingredients: 1 cup sugar, for the caramel; 2 cups guava, 2 cm slices; 1 1/8 cups butter, cubed and at room temperature; 1/4 cups sugar; 6 eggs; 1 cup double cream cheese, in medium cubes; 1 cup cream cheese, in medium cubes; 1/4 cups guava marmalade; 1 teaspoon vanilla essence; 1 cup condensed milk; 3 cups flour; 1 teaspoon baking powder; guava, quartered, for decoration; comestible flowers, for decoration

Using a mixer, beat the butter with the sugar for 5 minutes or until there are no lumps and the butter changes to a lighter color, then add the cream cheese, double cream cheese, and beat for 5 more minutes, until fully incorporated. Then, gradually add the eggs, vanilla, condensed milk, flour, baking powder, and jam. Mix for another 5 to 8 minutes, until everything is combined. Heat the sugar in a Jade Smart® Pot over medium heat until caramelized and achieving a golden color, for about 15 minutes. Let it cool for 5 minutes and add the guava slices.
