Although there are many opinions regarding the origins of the Tres Leches Cake, the reality is that each of the recipes always feature something different, just like this recipe for this Coffee Tres Leches Cake. For this peculiar recipe you need to assemble the coffee and chocolate cream at a very low temperature, so you will achieve the right stability to decorate with the pastry bag. Remember that whatever your Tres Leches cake recipe is, the important thing is to make it perfectly moist and that is only achieved by soaking the mixture several times.

Ingredients

  • 1 box of Dark chocolate flavor cake Three Stars® for the cake 432 g
  • 3 pieces of egg for the cake
  • 1/2 Cup of vegetable oil for the cake
  • 1 Cup of Water for the cake
  • 1 Cup of evaporated milk for the three milks sauce, 360ml
  • 1 Cup of condensed milk for the three milks sauce,
  • 1 Cup of milk for the three milks sauce
  • 5 spoonfuls of instant coffee for the 3 milks sauce
  • 3 cups of whipping cream for mocha mousse
  • 3 spoonfuls of instant coffee for mocha mousse
  • 1 1/2 cups of dark chocolates for mocha mousse
  • enough of nut finely chopped, to decorate

    Preparation

    Preheat the oven to 180 °C. ( 356°F)
    In a bowl, mix the Tres Estrellas® dark chocolate flavor cake mix flour with the eggs, vegetable oil and water until you have a homogeneous mixture.
    Pour into a previously floured and greased mold of 40 x 30 cm and bake for 15 minutes, let cool and reserve.
    For the three milks, in a pot over medium heat, heat the evaporated milk with condensed milk, milk and instant coffee. Let cool and set aside
    For the mocha mousse, in a saucepan over medium heat, heat the whipping cream and add the chocolate, the instant coffee and mix well until incorporated. Refrigerate and set aside.
    On a grid with the help of a ladle soak the chocolate sponge cake with the three coffee milks. Set aside.
    Once the chocolate cream mixture is cold, beat it until it doubles its volume and stays firm. Cover the cake, smooth the edges and with a spoon decorate the surface. Sprinkle pecans around and refrigerate until serving.

    PRESENTATION

    Cover the cake with frosting and decorate with chopped pecans.

    TIPS

    To assemble the coffee and chocolate cream it is necessary that it is very cold, thus you will achieve the necessary stability to pipe. For the cake to be moist enough, it is necessary to soak several times with the three milks sauce.
