This rich vanilla cake has a caramel bitumen that makes it unique and delicious. Its spongy and vanilla-scented texture goes perfect with the sweet caramel bitumen; balanced in flavors making it one of the favorites of all.

Ingredients

18 portions
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cups butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 2 1/4 cups flour
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 1/4 cups milk
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla essence
  • 1 cup raw sugar
  • 1/2 cups evaporated milk
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 teaspoons Corn syrup, Karo
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons vanilla essence

Preparation

Preheats the oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
To prepare the cake begin by greasing two refractory circular baking of approx. 20 cm and place a waxed paper base. Cover the refractories with vegetable spray and the flour spoonful.
In a deep bowl beat the sugar and 1/2 cup butter with an electric mixer for 5-6 minutes. Add the eggs and the egg white and continue beating.
In another deep dish mix flour, baking powder and salt. Add the flour mixture to the sugar mixture and continue beating. Add the milk and continue beating. Finally add the 2 teaspoons of vanilla essence and finish beating 5 minutes more.
Pour the mixture of the cake in the refractory to bake and bake for 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Remove from the oven and allow to cool for 10 minutes before unmolding.
To make the bitumen mix the mashed sugar with evaporated milk, butter and karo honey in a pot and cook over medium heat until it starts to boil. Reduce heat to low heat and continue cooking for 5 minutes. Remove from heat, add sugar, vanilla and cream for 5 minutes. Allow it to cool for 2-3 minutes.
Place 1 of the two cakes in a base and cover with 1/2 cup of bitumen. Place on the other cake and cover with the remaining bitumen.

PRESENTATION

Serve the cake on a cake base preferably.
