Ingredients

4 portions
  • 4 cups Water
  • 2 cones piloncillo
  • 2 rajas cinnamon
  • 8 Mexican french bread rolls, hard and sliced
  • 4 tablespoons oil
  • 1 cup raisin
  • 1 cup peanut, natural (without shell, skin and salt)
  • 2 cups fresh cheese
  • 8 corn tortillas
  • 2 tablespoons lard
  • 2 whole cloves, whole
  • 2 anise stars

Preparation

To make a syrup: boil the water with brown sugar, cinnamon, cloves and anise. Leave over low heat until you have a honey.
Slicing and frying the bread on both sides with the butter.
In a clay pot put a layer of tortillas as a base, on top of a layer of golden bread and add peanuts, raisins, cheese (if you want you can also put coconut) and bathe with a little of the syrup.
Repeat the layers until the ingredients are finished and bathe with honey.
Bake at 180 ° C for 20 minutes, covering with aluminum.

Dulce de Tradición Ese postre se acostumbra ofrecer a los difuntos en los altares de muertos, para el mes de noviembre en Campeche, especificamente en el municipio de Champotón, mi mama y abuelita los preparan y es uno de mis favoritos, se le conoce como dulce de pan.
