Mix the Oreo cookies and butter and form a crust in a pie dish. Place this cookie crust in a previously greased springform pan. Soften the cream cheese and add the sugar, beating with a mixer on medium speed. Add the eggs one by one, beating shortly after adding each. Finally, add the cornstarch, vanilla, and cream. It is not advisable to beat too much at this point as it may cause cracks in the cheesecake.
