6 portions
  • 570 grams Philadelphia® cream cheese, at room temperature
  • 1/2 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 teaspoons almond essence
  • 2 jars cherries in syrup
  • 500 grams puff pastry
  • 1 egg, to varnish
  • 1 cup powdered sugar, for the glaze
  • 4 tablespoons orange juice, for the glaze
  • enough flour

Preheat the oven to 180 ° C.
For the filling of cheese in a bowl with the help of a spatula, add the cheese until it is soft, add the icing sugar, and add the essence of almonds, until it is completely integrated. Refrigerate and reserve. On an absorbent paper place the cherries and dry completely.
On a floured surface, spread the puff pastry and cut 15 triangles 10 cm wide by 20 long.
In a tray place the triangles intercalating, so that they form a thread, add the filling and place the dried cherries, close the thread and varnish with egg, bake for 15 minutes until golden and crispy. Let it cool.
For the glaze, mix the icing sugar with the orange juice.
Pour the frosting into a plastic sleeve and decorate the thread.

On a round platter, accompanied by a cup of tea.

Before putting your thread in the oven freeze for 15 minutes, this way the puff pastry will be more crispy.
