Sweet skulls are traditional for the Mexican celebration of the Day of the Dead; They are usually made of sugar or chocolate, but this recipe gives you a different option, since you can use any cereal you have at home. These cereal skulls are easy, fun, and delicious!

Ingredients

6 portions
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 3 tablespoons lemon juice
  • to taste edible food coloring, blue, pink, yellow, purple, etc.
  • 1 1/2 cups dark chocolate
  • 1 1/2 cups White chocolate
  • 4 cups corn flakes
  • enough colored sugar
  • enough organic cempasuchil, petals

Preparation

In a container or bowl, mix the icing sugar with the lemon juice; Divide the icing sugar mixture into hermetic bags and add different coloring to each one, close and rub with your hands to mix; the tone can be as intense as you want, so the amount will depend on you, then reserve.
Melt the dark chocolate and the white chocolate.
Add the melted dark chocolate to half of the cereal and mix until completely covered; repeat the step with the white chocolate and the other half of the cereal and reserve. Later, smear a little oil on your hands and place a large spoonful of cereal on them.
Shape the skull with your hands, manipulating what is necessary to achieve it. Refrigerate.
Once the skull is cold, finish shaping it with a thick stick that you have at home.
Decorate with the colored glaze, marigold flower petals and colored sugar.

TIPS

If it is difficult for you to compact the cereal with chocolate only with your hands, you can support yourself with an adhesive plastic.
