Ingredients: 12 eggs, separated into egg whites and yolks, for the sponge cake; 1 cup Great Value® granulated sugar, divided in two for the sponge cake; 2 teaspoons vanilla essence; 1 1/2 cups Great Value® wheat flour; 1 cup cocoa powder; 2 teaspoons baking powder; 1/2 cups butter, melted; 2 packages mascarpone cheese, 226g each; 3/4 cups Great Value® icing sugar; 1 teaspoon vanilla essence; 1 1/2 cups whipping cream; 450 grams bittersweet chocolate, in pieces; 2 cups whipping cream, semi-whipped; 1/2 cups strawberries, in halves for decoration

Preheat the oven to 180°C. For the sponge cake, beat the egg whites with half of the sugar until stiff peaks form. On the other hand, beat the egg yolks with the remaining sugar until doubled in volume and incorporate the vanilla.
