Homemade Watermelon Snow

This homemade snow will be very simple with this recipe and its step by step explained so that anyone can carry it out. This watermelon snow recipe is a refreshing, easy-to-make option and is a cold dessert that kids and adults will like. Its sweet and delicate flavor makes it an excellent option to combine with a light meal.

Ingredients

4 portions
  • 1/2 watermelons
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1/2 cups pomegranate syrup, (red syrup or grenadine)
  • 1/2 cups natural syrup
  • 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon zest
  • 1 tablespoon gelatin, hydrated and molten
  • leaves peppermint
  • to taste chilli powder

Preparation

Grind the watermelon pulp in the blender until juice and strain. Reservation.
In a pot, warm the watermelon juice, lemon juice, red syrup, sugar, lemon zest and add the grenetina for two minutes. It is very important that the mixture does NOT boil. Cool immediately and stand for 30 minutes.
Prepare a bowl with ice and water, add enough salt. In another bowl, pour the watermelon mixture and place it on the ice to make an inverted bath; Beat constantly until the snow forms. Freeze.
Serve in a bowl, decorate with peppermint and sprinkle some chili powder if desired.

PRESENTATION

Garnish with peppermint and watermelon pieces.

TIPS

It is very important that when heating the mixture, only the entibies for a couple of minutes, it should NOT boil, otherwise it will be affected in color. You can let your ice cream mixture stand for 24 hours before the snow freezing process.
