The profiteroles are an Italian dessert that will impress all your guests. This recipe is filled with coffee ice cream and accompanied by a delicious chocolate sauce.

Ingredients

6 portions
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 3/4 cups Water
  • 1/4 tablespoons salt
  • 3/4 cups flour
  • 3 eggs
  • coffee ice cream
  • 1 cup whipping cream, (for the chocolate sauce)
  • 1/2 cups sugar, (for the chocolate sauce)
  • 200 grams bittersweet chocolate, (for the chocolate sauce)
  • 1/2 teaspoons liquid vanilla, (for the chocolate sauce)

Preparation

Prepare a tray for baking cookies by cooling it in the freezer, then place 18 scoops of coffee ice cream and freeze to serve the dessert.
Preheat the oven to 210 degrees Celsius with the grid in the center.
Place the butter, salt and water in a pot and heat over medium heat until the butter melts. Add the flour and mix well with a wooden spoon. Pour into a deep bowl.
Add the eggs 1 in 1 and incorporate with an electric mixer .
Place the dough in a pastry bag and you have 18 profiteroles in a baking sheet. Each profiterol should be approximately 3 cm wide and 1 cm high.
Bake for 25 minutes or until lightly browned. Insert a toothpick into each profiterol and return to the oven to dry but with the door semi-open for 5 more minutes.
Remove from the oven and allow them to cool.
To make the sauce melt the sugar over medium heat until a caramel is made, add the cream to beat, mix and heat until the caramel has dissolved.
Remove from heat, add chocolate and vanilla and mix until chocolate is dissolved.
Serve the profiteroles by splitting horizontally and placing a scoop of coffee ice cream inside. Place one or two tablespoons of the chocolate sauce on the profiterol.
