Pour the milk into a large bowl. Add the pumpkin, pudding mix, and pumpkin pie spice. Whisk the mixture for 2 minutes until smooth. (The mixture will thicken.) Immediately add the topping and stir. Using a spoon, fill 8 dessert cups. Refrigerate the cups for 4 hours or until the contents set.
