Fry the bacon in its own fat in a hot skillet over low heat; once it is golden brown, drain on paper towels. Cut into small cubes on a cutting board. Set aside until use. In a small pot, melt the butter over low heat, add the condensed milk, vanilla essence, and Karo® Maple. Whisk with a balloon whisk until combined, then add the baking soda while continuing to whisk, as the reaction will cause the mixture to rise. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
