Ingredients

20 portions
  • 3 cups flour
  • 2/3 cups sugar
  • 250 grams unsalted butter
  • 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 4 egg yolks
  • 1 teaspoon liquid vanilla
  • red food color
  • 1 cup vanilla frosting
  • edible pearls

Preparation

Preheat the oven to 180ºC.
Mix flour, sugar, butter and salt in a food processor.
With a fork or balloon whisk mix the egg yolks and the vanilla. Add the flour mixture to make the dough in the processor.
Transfer the dough to a flat and floured surface and mold with your hands until it forms a ball of dough.
With a floured rolling pin, flatten the dough.
Cut the cookies into a small circle.
Transfer the cookies to the baking tray and bake for 10 minutes. (The cooking time depends on the thickness of the cookies, it is important to watch them so they do not burn).
To paint the bitumen, add one or two droplets of the red dye and stir well until it is pink.
Remove the cookies from the oven, wait until cool, add the vanilla bitumen and an edible pearl to decorate.
