30 portions
  • 500 grams unsalted butter, ,at room temperature
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 egg white
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 5 cups sifted flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 6 cups powdered sugar
  • 250 milliliters Water
  • 1 egg white
  • food coloring gel
  • pastry bag, and tips of # 2 to decorate

180 ° Preheated Oven. Prepare a baking tray with waxed paper, and choose the cookie cutters of your choice.
Beat the butter until it has beaten and add the sugar, the egg white, the vanilla and the flour together with the baking powder until it is completely integrated.
Separate the dough into three parts, and wrap it in adherent plastic and refrigerate for at least half an hour.
On a flat and floured surface with the help of a roller, spread the dough until it is about half a centimeter thick. The cookies are cut and placed in the pre-prepared trays.
Bake cookies for approximately 12 to 15 minutes. They have to take a light golden color.
While the baked cookies are cooled, prepare the glass to decorate them.
In the blender place the glass sugar, egg white and water, whisk at maximum speed until it acquires a consistency as not so stiff bitumen.
Separate the glass in how many colors you want to paint, just with a little bit of dye so that they can give the intensity of the color little by little. At this point if you feel that the glass is too hard, you can add drops of water little by little until you reach the desired consistency.
Place the colored glass in each pastry bag (or a clean plastic bag) prepared with tip # 2, and decorate.

The cookies must be left to dry in order to store them either in cellophane bags or in a container that closes hermetically.
