I share this recipe for homemade churros. It is a very simple recipe to make, you do not need so many ingredients and the churros are left with a crispy texture on the outside and soft on the inside. You can fill them with chocolate and cajeta or simply eat them with them, they are really delicious. Do not stop doing them!

Ingredients

18 servings
  • 350 milliliters of Water
  • 1/2 teaspoonful of vanilla
  • 250 grams of flour
  • 1 piece of egg
  • 100 grams of sugar
  • 1 tablespoon of cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoonful of baking powder
  • vegetable food coloring coffee
  • 1 liter of vegetable oil

    Preparation

    Put water in a pot and add the vanilla, salt, sugar and a splash of oil.
    Sift the flour and add it to the boiling water. Move quickly with a wooden spoon until you have a compact mass. Lower the heat and cook the dough for about 3 minutes.
    Pass the mixture to a blender and put it on high speed to cool. If you left some lumps of flour, do not worry, with the movement of the blender these will be undone. Add the vegetable dye in brown.
    Add the egg and baking powder. Beat until the dough is smooth. You will have a slightly watery mass but still compact.
    Heat the oil to 180 ° C. Pass the mixture to a pastry bag with a large star duya and squeeze a little of the mixture over the hot oil. Cut with scissors and drop carefully on the oil.
    Give each churro about 3 minutes of cooking. Remove them from the oil and place them on a paper towel to remove the excess fat.
    Finally, crush the churros with sugar and cinnamon.

    PRESENTATION

    Cover them with cinnamon and sugar.

    TIPS

    Use a big star duya to make them thicker.
