This recipe for flan is prepared with a little cream cheese and bathed with cajeta instead of caramelized sugar. Very good!

Ingredients

8 portions
  • 330 grams Burned cajeta
  • 2 cans condensed milk, of 397 milliliters
  • 2 cans evaporated milk, of 371 milliliters
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 8 eggs
  • 180 grams cream cheese, at room temperature

Preparation

Preheat the oven to 180º C.
Cover an aluminum mold with cajeta (the sides and the bottom).
Blend milk with vanilla, eggs, and cream cheese. The mixture should be smooth and well incorporated.
Put the mixture on the flan mold (covered with cajeta). Cover with aluminum foil.
Bake in a bath Maria for 1 1/2 hours. When it is ready, remove from the oven and let it cool.
Unmold and store in refrigerator until serving.

PRESENTATION

Unmold the flan in a round dish and put a little more melted cajeta on top.

TIPS

The flan is best if it is prepared 1 day in advance and left in the refrigerator at night.
