Ingredients

  • 1 cup refined sugar, for the caramel 200 g
  • 1 cup condensed milk, 306 g
  • 1 cup evaporated milk, 245 g
  • 1 cup cream cheese, 190 g
  • 5 eggs
  • 1/4 cups orange juice
  • Orange zest
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon liquid vanilla
  • orange segment, to decorate
  • peppermint, to decorate

Preparation

For the caramel, melt the sugar over medium heat and pour into a prepared mold. Cool to room temperature.
Preheat the oven to 190 ° C.
For the flan, blend the condensed milk, evaporated milk, cream cheese, orange juice, orange zest, cornstarch, vanilla and pour the mixture into the mold, cover it with aluminum and bake in a double boiler. for 50 minutes at 190 ° C. Let cool and refrigerate one hour.
Unmold the flan and decorate with orange and mint segments.

PRESENTATION

Garnish with mint leaves and orange segments, you can also add zest.

TIPS

It is important that the mixture is not allowed to stand for too long to prevent it from “cutting” and separating the ingredients (for the orange).
