Ingredients

8 servings
  • 1 Cup of Butter
  • 3/4 of Cup of sugar
  • 2 cups of cornmeal , for tamales
  • 1 tablespoon of baking powder
  • 1 Cup of milk
  • 4 pieces of Gansito Marinela® (50g c/u) (1.8 oz)
  • 8 pieces of corn leaf soaked
  • enough of chocolate sprinkles

    Preparation

    Beat the butter with the sugar until it is soft, add the flour, the baking powder and add the milk little by little. Beat until you have a homogeneous and semi-liquid mass.
    Cut Marinela® Gansitos in half.
    Pour a spoonful of dough into a soaked tamal husk and spread. Place half of a Gansito Marinela® in the center, cover with more dough and wrap in a tamale manner.
    Place the tamales in a steamer with hot water and cook for 40 min, let stand 10 minutes before serving.
    Serve and decorate with chocolate sprinkles.

    PRESENTATION

    Decorate with chocolate chips.

    TIPS

    Remember that the amount of liquid in the dough will depend on how refined the flour for tamales is.
