Ingredients

20 portions
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1/2 kilos powdered sugar, for the glaze
  • 6 tablespoons milk, (for the glaze)
  • 6 tablespoons corn syrup
  • 20 marshmallows, medium whites
  • 60 M&Ms
  • 1 tube black gel food color
  • 1 tube orange gel food color
  • colored sugar
  • 1 green food color

Preparation

Preheat the oven to 180C
In a bowl and with a blender add butter and sugar. Once they are well mixed, add the egg and the vanilla extract.
Mix flour and baking powder thoroughly.
In 3 parts, add flour to the butter mixture. Stirring very well after each addition. The last part of flour, mix it by hand; must be the hard mass.
Divide the dough into two balls and keep one wrapped in egapack (adhesive paper) in the refrigerator.
With a little flour in your hands, make balls with the dough the size of a plum. Flatten them with your fingers, to obtain a flat surface.
Put the cookies in a baking sheet with waxed paper underneath. Bake for 6-8 minutes until the edges of the cookies begin to brown.
Let the cookies cool on a rack, while the icings are being prepared to decorate the cookies.
To prepare the glaze of colors: mix the milk with the sugar glass. Add the corn syrup and stir well. Remove a little of the glaze and put a drop or two of green dye to make the snowman's scarf.
Decorate the face of the snowman with the orange and black gels. Once they are cold the cookies decorate the cookies with the white frosting, place the chocolate and lunettes still when it is fresh. Let the white frosting cool down and draw the green scarf with the colored sugar and the little hands with the brown gel.

TIPS

If you can not find the colored gels, mix 1 cup of icing and 6 tablespoons of icing sugar to make it hard and use the orange and green coloring with a small dulla.
