This recipe for banana muffins is very easy to make, as it does not require an oven. It is perfect for you to have a suitable dessert for a day of outdoor barbecue and the muffins will have a special flavor with apple wood chips. You can accompany them with some melted chocolate and a very hot coffee.

Ingredients

6 servings
  • 1 teaspoon of baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda
  • 1 cup of raw sugar
  • 2 cups of wheat flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt
  • 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract
  • 3/4 of cup of unsalted butter
  • 3 ripe bananas
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 handfuls of Apple Weber® Wood Chips
  • to taste of chocolate melted
  • 1 cup of raw sugar for the scab
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt for the scab
  • 45 grams of unsalted butter for the scab
  • 2 cups of Marie biscuit powder, for scab

Preparation

Moisten the Weber Apple Wood Chips in water for 30 minutes before roasting and prepare your Weber® grill for indirect medium heat (350 ° - 450 ° F or 175 ° - 232 ° C).
Mix all the ingredients of the scab until you get an sand and reserve.
Crush the bananas to puree and reserve. In a bowl, mix the sugar and butter, beat until you get a light mixture. Add the banana puree and continue beating. Add the eggs, vanilla, baking soda, baking powder and salt. Once all the ingredients are incorporated, gradually add the 2 cups of flour. Reservation.
Fill the standard size muffin molds with this mixture halfway. At the top, cover the scab.
Place the Manber Weber Wood Chips directly on the coals or in your Weber Original smoking box and once it begins to generate white smoke, place the muffins and cook them on indirect medium heat for 30 to 40 minutes. Check your cooking by inserting a wooden stick in the center, if it comes out clean it is an indicator that they are ready.
Remove the muffins from the grill, let stand at room temperature for 5 minutes and serve. You can accompany with melted chocolate to taste.
