  • 1 1/2 cups of Butter for the pound cake (at room temperature)
  • 1 1/4 cups of sugar for the pound cake
  • 10 pieces of egg for the pound cake
  • 1 piece of orange , the zest only
  • 1 tablespoon of vanilla essence for the pound cake
  • 2 cups of flour for the pound cake
  • 2 teaspoons of Rexal® Baking Powder for the pound cake
  • 1 Cup of powder sugar for the glaze
  • 3 spoonfuls of milk for the glaze
  • enough of orange to decorate

    Preparation

    In a medium speed blender, beat the butter with the sugar until incorporated, add the eggs one by one while continuing to beat, the orange zest, the vanilla essence, the flour, the REXAL® baking powder and continue beating until obtain a homogeneous mixture.
    Pour into a cake mold previously greased and floured, cover with aluminum foil and bain-marie on the stove for 1 hour or when inserting a toothpick, it comes out clean. Let cool and remove from cake pan.
    For the glaze, with a balloon whisk mix the powdered sugar with the milk, until obtaining a thick mixture.
    Cover the pound cake with the glaze and decorate with slices of orange and zest.

    PRESENTATION

    On a cake stand or platter, covered with glaze, decorated with orange twist and orange zest.

    TIPS
