There is nothing richer than enjoying a pound cake made from condensed milk and fresh orange. Its soft and fluffy texture, is complemented by the creamy cover of cream cheese perfumed with orange zest; creating a dessert without equal. Surprise everyone at home by baking this pancake and serve it with a cup of coffee or a glass of fresh milk. Ingredients

6 portions
  • 2 cups flour, (250 g)
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons Rexal® Baking Powder
  • 1 3/4 cups butter, (180 g)
  • 1/2 cups sugar
  • 5 eggs, at room temperature
  • 1 can condensed milk, (387 g)
  • 2 tablespoons liquid vanilla
  • 1 orange, (only zest)
  • 1/8 cups milk, for the glaze
  • 190 grams cream cheese, for the glaze
  • 45 grams butter, for the glaze
  • 1 cup powdered sugar, for the glaze
  • to taste Orange zest, to decorate
  • to taste strawberry, in halves, to decorate

Preparation

Preheat the oven to 170 ° C (338F)
Slice Rexal® flour, salt and baking powder with a sieve.
Beat the butter with the sugar until creamy, add one by one the eggs, condensed milk, vanilla essence and orange zest.
Add the dry ingredients little by little while continuing to blend until integrated.
Pour into a previously greased and floured pancake pan and bake for 45 minutes.
Remove from the oven and let cool before unmolding.
For the glaze, in a pot over low heat, heat the cream cheese and add the butter, cook while stirring until the lumps are completely undone. Remove from the burner.
Add the icing sugar to the cheese mixture and beat until incorporated, cool.
Ice the pound cake and garnish with orange zest and strawberries.

PRESENTATION

On a cake stand accompanied by a cup of coffee.

TIPS

It is important that the butter and the egg are at room temperature so that they mix properly.
