This is the traditional pancake recipe. It can be served at breakfast with a little jam or during tea time. It is spongy and perfect to enjoy with the family.

Ingredients

10 portions
  • 100 grams butter
  • 1/2 cups sugar
  • 3 eggs, whole at room temperature
  • 1 1/2 cups flour, sifted
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda, royal
  • 3/4 cups milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • to taste powdered sugar

Preparation

Put the butter in the microwave for a few seconds until it is watered, with the consistency of an ointment.
Add the butter until it is fluffy and add the sugar. Add the eggs one by one, beating well between each addition
Mix the flour with the royal. Add the flour to the egg mixture, alternating with the milk. Put the teaspoon of vanilla.
Pour into a well-greased and floured rectangular mold. Bake at 180 centigrade for 40-45 minutes.
Insert a toothpick to confirm if the pancake is ready (it should come out clean). Once it is cold, turn the pancake into a platter and sprinkle with icing sugar.

TIPS

It is very important that the eggs are at room temperature. If you take them out of the refrigerator, you can put them in a container with hot (not boiling) water for a few minutes so that they catch up.
