For apple pie lovers, be sure to try this amazing version made with base divided into Tia Rosa® golden cookie strips as a base, and a consistent spicy apple filling with cinnamon and cloves. Served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Irresistible!

Ingredients

8 portions
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 8 apples, peeled and in half moons
  • 1/2 cups raw sugar
  • 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon powder
  • 1/4 cups lemon juice
  • 1/2 cups flour, for the crumble topping
  • 1/2 cups raw sugar, for the crumble topping
  • 3/4 cups butter, cold cubes, for the crumble topping
  • 1/2 cups walnut, chopped, for the crumble topping
  • 1/4 cups oats, for the crumble topping
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon powder, for the crumble topping
  • 3 packages Divided into Tia Rosa® Golden Strips, (110g each)
  • to taste vanilla ice cream
  • to taste cajeta - Mexican carmelized goat milk sweet

Preparation

Preheat the oven to 180 °C. ( 356°F)
For the filling, in a deep frying pan melt the butter over medium heat, add the apples, sugar and cook 10 minutes.
Add the cinnamon, cloves and lime juice and cook until the apples are soft and the preparation thickens. Chill
For the crumble, mix in a bowl without working too much flour with sugar, butter, nuts, oats and cinnamon until you get a sandy mixture. Set aside and refrigerate.
For the assembly, in a square or rectangular mold for an oven, arrange Tia Rosa® Golden Cookie Strips forming a base and covering the sides to simulate the crust.
Arrange the apples in the mold and cover with the pecan crumble. Bake 10 minutes or until the crumble is golden brown.
Cut a slice of the pie and serve with vanilla ice cream and cajeta.

PRESENTATION

Serve a slice and serve with vanilla ice cream.

TIPS

It is important that you hydrate the starch in cold water to thicken the preparation.
