Preparation
Preheat the oven to 180 °C. ( 356°F)
For the filling, in a deep frying pan melt the butter over medium heat, add the apples, sugar and cook 10 minutes.
Add the cinnamon, cloves and lime juice and cook until the apples are soft and the preparation thickens. Chill
For the crumble, mix in a bowl without working too much flour with sugar, butter, nuts, oats and cinnamon until you get a sandy mixture. Set aside and refrigerate.
For the assembly, in a square or rectangular mold for an oven, arrange Tia Rosa® Golden Cookie Strips forming a base and covering the sides to simulate the crust.
Arrange the apples in the mold and cover with the pecan crumble. Bake 10 minutes or until the crumble is golden brown.
Cut a slice of the pie and serve with vanilla ice cream and cajeta.
