Pears in Red Wine without Sugar

Enjoy this truly delicious and very simple dessert with this easy recipe. Its wine flavor combines perfectly with the sweetness of the fruit and the most delicious thing is that it does not contain any sugar.

Ingredients

4 portions
  • 4 pears, from Anjou
  • 1 1/2 cups Red wine
  • 1/2 cups Water
  • 3 allspices, whole
  • 2 whole cloves, whole
  • 1 star anise
  • 1/3 cups Orange peel
  • 1 raja cinnamon
  • enough star anise, to decorate
  • enough cinnamon, in slit, to decorate
  • enough Mint leaf, to decorate

Preparation

On a board, peel the pears with the help of a potato peeler; already without skin, you can keep them in water until use.
In a pot, pour and combine the red wine with the water, the fat peppers, the cloves, the star anise and the orange peel. Add the peeled pears and the cinnamon stick, cover and cook over medium-low heat for 20 minutes. Remove from the fire and let cool.
Cut the pears in half. Serve them, pour in the spicy red wine and garnish with star anise, cinnamon and mint leaves.

PRESENTATION

Garnish with star anise, cinnamon and mint leaves.

TIPS
