Ingredients: 100 grams butter; 350 grams flour; 100 grams vegetable shortening; 150 grams sugar; 100 grams sugar; 4 eggs, egg yolk and white; 190 milliliters cow's milk; 1 tablespoon vanilla essence; 1 tablespoon cinnamon powder; 1/4 teaspoons ginger powder; 1/2 teaspoons nutmeg; 1 pinch clove; 1 tablespoon baking powder; 2 cups icing sugar, for decorating; water, to make the glaze for decorating; 1/4 kilos almonds, powdered; 1/4 cups icing sugar, for decorating; 2 egg whites, for decorating

Sift the flour with the baking powder and the spices, set aside. Mix the sugars and set aside. Using a mixer, cream the butter with the vegetable shortening; once incorporated, add the sugars and then the yolks one by one, giving time to integrate each one. If using, add the vanilla essence, then transfer to a large bowl and mix with a whisk by hand, alternating the dry ingredients with the liquids gradually, set aside.
