Delicious cookies made with a typical Mexican drink: pulque.

Ingredients

60 portions
  • 1/2 liters pulque, natural
  • 1 kilo wheat flour
  • 1/2 kilos vegetable shortening, at room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • granulated sugar, enough to sprinkle

Preparation

On a flat surface table or board to knead and with the help of a rasp or wedge soften the butter.
Add the flour little by little, always working with the scraper until you get a sandy consistency.
Add the salt and the pulque trickle until it finishes 1/2 liter.
Knead a little only to obtain a homogeneous mass.
On the floured table or table spread slightly small portions of about 1/2 centimeter.
Cut with the edge of a small glass or with circular cookie cutter.
Bathe each cookie with the granulated sugar.
Place in oven trays greased with nonstick.
Bake 10 to 15 minutes at 160 ° C.
Increase the oven heat to 200 ° C.
Go to the grill for 5 minutes to caramelize.
