Preparation
Place the water with the brown sugar, the cinnamon, the cloves and the orange segments in a large enough pot.
Let it boil so that the piloncillo dissolves and a honey forms. Remove the orange.
When the syrup is ready, place the pumpkin pieces inside the pot, those at the bottom with the skin facing down and the ones at the top with the skin facing up.
Cook over medium heat for 30 minutes.
As the honey rises, stir gently and carefully to continue cooking until the pumpkin is tender and impregnated with honey.
Add the guavas and cook for 5 more minutes.
