Preparation
Divide the yeast over the water, add 2 tablespoons of flour and let stand 20 minutes in a warm place.
Put the rest of the flour in a large bowl, make a hole in the center and put in the 3 eggs, the 3 yolks, 1/3 cup of sugar, salt, orange zest, milk, melted butter and the yeast dissolved. When they begin to form small bubbles, about 15 minutes later, make a ball with it and place another greased container. Cover it with a clean cloth and let it sponge in a warm place until it doubles its volume.
Meanwhile, prepare the decoration of the thread. Beat the margarine until it is creamy and, while stirring, add the icing sugar, the 2 yolks and 3/4 cup of flour. Reserve.
Knead once more and give the dough a threaded shape. Transfer to a baking dish greased with butter and let it sponge in a warm place for 45 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 250 centigrade (475 F). Decorate the thread forming bands with the margarine mixture and the fruit strips; pressing these on the dough. To glaze the thread with egg, to sprinkle the bands with the sugar and to bake 10 minutes. Lower the temperature of the oven to 200 centigrade (400 F), remove it from the oven and insert in it 1 or 2 plastic dolls. Bake egg for about 10 minutes.
