Prepare these rich palanquetas with roasted peanuts, seeds and sunflower seeds; dipped in delicious caramel. They are good option for Day of the Dead or simply for a craving in the afternoon.

Ingredients

8 portions
  • 1 cup peanut
  • 1/2 cups pumpkin seed
  • 1/2 cups sunflower seed
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1/4 cups Water

Preparation

Toast the seeds over low heat in a comal or pan to release the aroma. Reservation.
In a deep pan or pot, heat the sugar with the water over low heat and let it boil until it turns amber.
Integrate the seeds and mix very well. Pour the mixture into a tray with silicone mat and spread with the help of a roller.
Let the mixture dry for about 20 minutes or until the caramel is hard. Cut and serve.

PRESENTATION

Break or cut into bars and serve.

TIPS

Do not move the caramel too much during cooking so that the sugar does not crystallize.
