This is a homemade sweet, very tasty and economical, you can do it for those holidays like the day of the child, mothers day, father's day, and Christmas. Its presentation varies according to the way of chopping the fruit.

Ingredients

7 portions
  • 2 kilos papaya, or very green milky
  • 2 kilos piloncillo, or paper
  • 1/2 kilos sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 3 leaves FIG
  • to taste whole clove
  • enough Water

Preparation

Peel the milky and remove the seeds, cut into thin strips.
Place on a tray, sprinkle with baking soda and let it rest for about 12 hours.
In a pot place the strips of milky and add water to cover completely, bring to a high heat until it boils, cover and cook for 3 minutes.
Go through a colander and reserve.
On the other hand, in a large pot add 3 liters of water with the foil. Bring to a boil and cook for 15 minutes.
Then strain with a cloth sieve and pour into the pot, add the cloves and fig leaves.
Boil and cook uncovered until the syrup forms approximately 1 hour and a half.
Remove from heat, let cool for about 30 minutes before cooling.
