Tamarind popsicles are an ideal dessert for the heat and a great way to enjoy the summer season. Popsicles are a fun way to consume different flavors and combine them however you like. The best thing is that they can be enjoyed by people of any age!

Ingredients

10 portions
  • 1 cup syrup, tamarind, 250 ml, sugar-free
  • 3 cups Water, 750 ml
  • 1 1/4 cups sugar
  • 2 tablespoons gelatin, 14 g, hydrated and melted
  • enough Tamarindo candy
  • to taste chile piquín powder
  • to taste liquid chamoy

Preparation

In a saucepan add the water, the tamarind syrup and the sugar, mix cold with a spoon.
Heat over medium heat and stir with the spoon, until the water boils, add the gelatin until it is incorporated and remove from the heat.
Transfer the mixture to a container and cool at room temperature or using an ice bath.
In lollipop molds, place the tamarind sweets in the center and add the tamarind mixture until it is flush. Freeze for about 2 hours.
Unmold the popsicles and enjoy them accompanied by chili powder and chamoy.

PRESENTATION

Sprinkle piquín chili for added flavor.

TIPS

Make the tamarind mix the day before and leave it to refrigerate overnight. Take the mixture out of the refrigerator an hour before pouring into the popsicle pans. Make sure the mold is completely covered, otherwise it may break.
