Toast the slices of bread and layer them in a dish, adding raisins, peanuts, and small pieces of sliced cheese.
Meanwhile, place in a pot the water, piloncillo, cinnamon, cloves, and the green onion stem. Let it boil until the piloncillo dissolves.
Soak the bread with the piloncillo syrup and let it sit for a while.
Presentation
It is served in small clay pots with more cheese sprinkled on top.
Tips
You can add to the syrup chopped apple and guava. Let them cook a little without falling apart.
