Enjoy these delicious hot walnut tamales ideal to accompany them with a coffee. They have a spongy and smooth consistency. With its delicious nutty flavor, these tamalitos will get you out of trouble!

Ingredients

  • 12 pieces of corn leaf
  • 4 cups of Water hot
  • 1 1/2 cups of Butter
  • 1 1/2 cups of sugar
  • 2 cups of cornmeal
  • 1 1/2 cups of rice flours
  • 1 teaspoonful of baking powder
  • 1 Cup of milk
  • 1 tablespoon of walnut essence
  • 1 1/2 cups of nut finely chopped
  • to taste of nut chopped to decorate
  • to taste of chocolate melted, to decorate

    Preparation

    Soak the corn leaves with water until they soften. Reservation.
    Beat the butter with the sugar, until creamy.
    Add the cornmeal, rice flour, baking powder, milk, essence and nuts cream until integrated.
    Place three tablespoons of dough on a tamale sheet, close and fold.
    Place the tamales on a steamer and cook for 1 hour.
