This fruit punch drink is a traditional preparation for Christmas parties. Perfect for the season's cold tempratures. It has a delicious flavor because of the different fruits it contains, basically, it involves cutting the fruit and boiling the preparation.

Ingredients

12 portions
  • 1 kilo cane
  • 5 apples
  • 5 pears
  • 10 guavas
  • 500 grams Mexican hawthorn
  • 5 liters Water
  • 200 grams tamarind
  • 200 grams prune
  • 50 grams Hibiscus flower
  • 2 whole cloves
  • 1 kilo piloncillo
  • 100 grams sugar
  • 2 rajas cinnamon

Preparation

Peel the sugar cane and cut into slender sticks.
Remove the core of the apples and cut them into thin strips, repeat the procedure with the pears.
Cut the guavas and the Mexican hawthorn fruit (Tecojotes) into quarters.
Heat the water in a pot, add the fruit and boil for 20 minutes.
Add the tamarind, prunes, jamaica, cloves, piloncillo, sugar and cinnamon, heat until the fruit is cooked.
Serve.

PRESENTATION

Serve in a clay cup with pieces of fruit and a piece of sugar cane.

TIPS

Add the piloncillo little by little, so you can better control the sweetness of the punch.

No tenía piloncillo y le pude dos tazas de azúcar, le agregué 6 litros de agua y quedó bien. Agregándole dos pimientas también le da un super sabor, gracias por la receta, yo le quité el tejocote y quedó muy rico
