Enjoy this colorful version of the colored tortillas, made from nixtamalized corn flour, you can create fun designs with your family.

Ingredients

12 portions
  • 2 cups cornmeal, white, for the tortillas white
  • 2 cups water, hot, for the white tortillas
  • 1/2 teaspoons salt, for the white tortillas
  • 2 cups blue cornmeal, for the blue tortillas
  • 2 cups water, hot, for the blue tortillas
  • 1/2 teaspoons salt, for the blue tortillas
  • 2 cups cornmeal, yellow, for the yellow tortillas
  • 2 cups water, hot, for the yellow tortillas
  • 1/2 teaspoons salt, for the yellow tortillas

Preparation

For the white corn tortillas, in a bowl add the hot water, the salt and with the help of a spoon mix until you have a soft dough, continue kneading on the table until you finish integrating completely, form balls and reserve.
For the blue corn tortillas, in a bowl add the hot water, the salt and with the help of a spoon mix until you have a soft dough, continue kneading on the table until you finish integrating completely, form balls and reserve.
For the yellow corn tortillas, in a bowl add the hot water, the salt and with the help of a spoon mix until you have a soft dough, continue kneading on the table until completely integrated, form balls and reserve.
Place a plastic in a tortilla press and press to form the tortilla, you can form several shapes, interleaving the colors on the dough as shown in the video.
On a comal over medium heat, cook the tortillas for 2 minutes on both sides.
