Ingredients

6 servings
  • 4 cups of Water
  • 1 teaspoonful of Salt
  • 6 pieces of jalapeno pepper open and seedless
  • 2 cups of Manchego cheese cut into strips
  • 12 slices of bacon
  • 3/4 of Cup of pancake flour for banderillas
  • 3/4 of Cup of wheat flour for banderillas
  • 1/2 Cup of mineral water for banderillas
  • 2 pieces of egg for banderillas
  • 1 teaspoonful of Rexal® Baking Powder for banderillas
  • 2 cups of vegetable oil to fry
  • to taste of dressing ranch, to accompany

    Preparation

    In a pot heat the water, add the salt and chiles and cook for 15 minutes. Drain, let cool and reserve.
    On a table fill the chiles with Manchego cheese, wrap with bacon until completely covered, insert a skewer stick.
    For the banderillas dough, mix in a bowl the flours with the mineral water, the eggs and the Rexal® Baking Powder until you have a homogeneous mixture.
    In a small pot, heat the oil over medium heat.
    Dip the chiles in the mixture of banderillas and fry for 5 minutes or until golden brown. Place on absorbent paper to remove excess grease.
    Accompany with ranch dressing.

    PRESENTATION

    On a small board accompanied by ranch dressing.

    TIPS

    You can substitute jalapeño pepper for chipotle chile.
