This snack is delicious and is very easy to prepare, it is also the best way to balance the salty flavor of the proscuitto. Ingredients

6 portions
  • 6 figs, large cut in quarters
  • 24 slices prosciutto, thin sheets
  • 24 leaves arugula
  • 2 cups balsamic vinegar
  • 1/8 cups sugar
  • 1 pinch salt

Preparation

In a pan, add the sugar, salt and balsamic vinegar, stirring with a wooden spoon, let it reduce and thicken.
Turn off the fire and reserve.
Cut the figs quarter lengthwise and cover each with a slice (or half slice) of prosciutto.
Put an arugula leaf on top and secure with a toothpick.
Put on a platter and put a few drops of the balsamic vinegar reduction on top.

TIPS

The balsamic vinegar can be stored in the refrigerator and used in other dishes such as salmon, salads, etc.
