If you love artichokes, prepare these delicious grilled artichokes served with a homemade tartar sauce; made with mayonnaise, mustard, pickles, capers and a touch of yellow lemon juice. It will be the perfect entree!

Ingredients

2 portions
  • 2 artichoke, cooked (boiled, baked or steamed)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 pinch salt and pepper
  • 1 cup mayonnaise, for tartar sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard, for tartar sauce
  • 2 tablespoons red onion, finely chopped, for tartar sauce
  • 1 tablespoon gherkin, finely chopped, for tartar sauce
  • 4 tablespoons capers, finely chopped, for tartar sauce
  • 2 tablespoons parsley, finely chopped, for tartar sauce
  • 3 tablespoons yellow lemon juice, for tartar sauce
  • 1 pinch salt and pepper
  • to taste yellow lemon, cut in half, to serve

Preparation

Heat a grill over high heat with a tablespoon of olive oil and cook the artichokes until the classic marks of the grill are formed, season with salt and pepper. Remove and reserve.
For the tartar sauce, in a bowl mix the mayonnaise with the mustard, the onion, the pickles, the capers, the parsley, the lemon juice, salt and pepper.
Serve the artichokes with the tartar sauce and accompany with yellow lemon.

PRESENTATION

Serve the artichoke cut in half with yellow lemon and tartar sauce.

TIPS

So that the artichoke does not turn black and rust, you can cook it with lemon.
