Preparation
In a deep bowl put the flour, salt, baking powder, melted butter and mix well with vegetable shortening, with gentle movements with your hands and without leaving lumps.
The egg is incorporated and it is still mixed gently, then the milk is gradually poured (as hot as you can handle it) until it forms a uniform dough, until it no longer sticks on your fingers.
A ball of dough is formed and left to rest by covering it with a clean cloth. Let stand 10 to 15 minutes.
Give again a light kneading and immediately form dough balls with your hands.
Flour a flat surface, put a ball of dough and flatten very lightly with your fingers and then make the tortillas with the wooden rolling pin.
Heat an iron comal very well and spread the tortillas over it, wait for small bubbles to be made and turn it over so that the other part is cooked.
