Ingredients

4 portions
  • 1 cup Smucker's® jam, cherry
  • 1/2 cups orange juice
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 250 grams bacon
  • 4 jalapeno, clean, flaked, cut into slices
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, grated
  • slices white bread, thick and crusty
  • to taste mayonnaise
  • to taste mustard
  • italian lettuce
  • tomatoes, sliced
  • avocados, in sheets
  • to taste vegetable chips, sweet potato and potato, to accompany
  • to taste pickle, in vinegar, to accompany

Preparation

For the glaze, in a small saucepan heat the Smucker's® Cherry Jam with the orange juice and pepper for 10 minutes, over medium heat, until the ingredients are dissolved and integrated.
Preheat the oven to 170 ° C.
Arrange the bacon on a tray, glaze with the glaze and bake for approximately 15 minutes; If necessary, glaze again with the glaze while the bacon is still in the oven. Once the bacon is golden and crisp, remove from the oven and set aside.
Take advantage of the heat of the oven to toast the bread: in one of the covers, place the slices and the cheddar cheese and gratin. Withdraw.
Assemble the sandwich: spread the mayonnaise and mustard on the free lid (top lid); use the other cover as a base and add the lettuce, bacon, tomato and avocado; season the vegetables if you consider necessary; close the sandwich with the other lid.
Cut the sandwich in half, serve and serve with chips and pickles.
