Tuna Sandwich with Cheese

Ingredients

4 portions
  • 2 cans tuna
  • 1/2 tomatoes, chopped
  • 1/4 onions, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 2 pickled jalapeños, optional
  • 1/4 cups gherkin, chopped
  • 8 slices yellow cheese, or manchego
  • 2 tablespoons butter, spreading
  • 8 slices box bread

Preparation

Preheat a large skillet or griddle over medium-low heat.
Drain the tuna tins very well and place them in a bowl. Add already chopped tomatoes, onions, pickles and jalapeños tanned (optional), mayonnaise. Mix everything very well.
Butter one side of each bread, place 4 loaves of bread on the side that has butter.
Add a slice of cheese to each bread, 1/4 of the tuna mixture or enough to cover it. Place the other slice of cheese and cover with another slice of bread so that the butter is on the outside
When the bread is browned, turn the sandwich over carefully so that the tuna mixture does not come out and wait for it to brown on the next side. Serve and enjoy.

TIPS

When smearing butter, make it even and thin; just enough to help make the bread golden and crispy.
