This delicious Spicy Almond Snack is a very quick, healthy snack. The seed of the almond is very versatile and can be used to prepare many different recipes. Ingredients

4 servings
  • 1 guajillo chili pepper deveined and seedless
  • 2 chile de árbol peppers deveined and seedless
  • 1/4 of teaspoonful of garlic powder
  • 1/4 of teaspoonful of onion powder
  • 1/4 of teaspoonful of Salt
  • 1/8 of teaspoonful of black pepper
  • 1 Cup of almond
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon of spicy sauce (could be Valentina)
  • 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon of coriander finely chopped

Preparation

For the seasoning, lightly roast the chiles in a comal, trying not to burn them. Then, blend the chiles until a very fine powder is obtained.
In a bowl, mix the chilli powder with the garlic powder, onion powder, salt and pepper. Set aside.
In a pan over low heat, toast the almonds until they release their aroma and remove.
In the same pan heat the olive oil and cook the mixture of chilies until you get a paste. Add the almonds, the hot sauce and the lemon juice. Cook a few minutes and remove.
Let the almonds dry and sprinkle with cilantro. Serve in containers.

PRESENTATION

Store your snack in a glass or plastic container with a lid and take it anywhere.

TIPS

You can make this recipe and store the almonds in a lidded container for up to 2 weeks.
