Ingredients

4 portions
  • 750 grams fish fillet, snapper or other species
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons white wine, or sake
  • 1 slice fresh ginger, peeled and cut into strips, the slice should be thin
  • 2 carrots, medium, peeled and cut lengthwise in strips
  • 60 grams pea, Japanese, split in two along
  • 1/2 yellow bell peppers, medium, deveined and cut into thin slices

Preparation

Place the fish in a baking dish that fits in a steamer or grid that enters a large skillet.
Mix the soy sauce and the white wine or sake and pour the mixture over the fish.
Cover it with ginger and carrots.
Pour 2.5 cm of water into the pan and boil it over low heat.
Insert the steamer or rack in the pan.
Place the fish mold on the steamer or grate. Steam the fish for 5 to 6 minutes.
Add the peas and the pepper. Top.
Cook about 5 minutes, until the meat of the fish is detached when pressed with the tip of a knife and that the vegetables are tender and crispy.
