Breaded Fish Tacos with Pico de Gallo

These taquitos with flour tortillas stuffed with breaded fish, Oaxaca cheese au gratin and served with pico de gallo, a little cabbage and avocado will fascinate you, as they are fresh and have a very nice presentation.

Ingredients

4 servings
  • 1/2 Cup of red onion cut into small cubes, for the pico de gallo
  • 1 Cup of tomato cut into small cubes, for the pico de gallo
  • 1/2 Cup of cuaresmeño or jalapeño pepper cut into small cubes, for the pico de gallo
  • 1/2 Cup of coriander finely chopped, for the pico de gallo
  • 2 spoonfuls of olive oil for the pico de gallo
  • 2 spoonfuls of lemon juice for the pico de gallo
  • 1 tablespoon of oregano for the pico de gallo
  • to taste of salt and pepper
  • 4 pieces of fish fillet cut into strips
  • enough of flour for breading
  • enough of egg for breading
  • enough of ground bread for breading
  • enough of oil for frying
  • 12 pieces of flour tortillas
  • 1 Cup of Oaxaca cheese shredded
  • 1 Cup of White cabbage chopped
  • 2 pieces of avocado sliced
  • to taste of coriander

    Preparation

    For the pico de gallo, mix all the ingredients until incorporated, season with olive oil, lemon juice, oregano, salt and pepper to your taste. Reserve.
    Season fish fillets with salt and pepper and cover with flour, beaten egg and bread crumbs.
    Fry the fish with the oil and with absorbent paper remove the excess fat.
    Heat tortillas in a comal over medium heat, add the fried fish strips and Oaxaca cheese, cook until the cheese melts and serve immediately with pico de gallo, cabbage, avocado and cilantro. Enjoy

    PRESENTATION

    Serve your tacos with cabbage, pico de gallo, avocado and cilantro.

    TIPS

    Marinate the fish in milk with salt, pepper and fine herbs.
