If you only eat fried mojarra when you go to the beach, this recipe for mojarra al ajillo will bring that delicious dish from the Pacific coast of Mexico to the table of your home. Follow this step by step and prepare a mojarra seasoned with guajillo chiles, which will give it that characteristic flavor that you love when you eat it on vacation. Ingredients

4 portions
  • 1/4 onions, to marinate
  • 4 cloves garlic, to marinate
  • 5 pieces allspice berries, to marinate
  • 1/2 tablespoons oregano, to marinate
  • 1/4 cups olive oil, to marinate
  • 1/3 cups lime juice, to marinate
  • salt, to marinate
  • 2 tilapia fish
  • flour
  • 2 tablespoons garlic
  • 2 guajillo chiles
  • vegetable oil, to fry the mojarra
  • lettuce
  • orange, sliced, for garnish
  • 2 potatoes, To accompany
  • avocado, To accompany
  • lime, To accompany

Preparation

To marinate, grind the allspice, garlic, onion, oregano, olive oil, lemon juice and salt in a blender. Blend for three minutes and reserve.
Make some not very deep undercuts in the mojarra and bathe with the previous preparation; marinate for 30 minutes in the refrigerator. Then flour the mojarra on both sides and reserve.
In a saucepan, heat the oil, fry the garlic and once it is ready, remove it; do the same with the guajillo chili. Then fry the mojarra in that same oil for 15 minutes, bathe well with the oil. Remove and place on absorbent paper to remove excess oil.
Serve with lettuce, fried garlic and guajillo chili, orange and lemon slices.

PRESENTATION

Accompany with potatoes, avocado and lemon.

TIPS

Make the cuts to the mojarra so that it is better marinated and take care of the cooking time so that it is completely cooked.
