This mushroom recipe is ideal to serve in a buffet as an entree, its flavor is mild and can be a little spicy.

Ingredients

16 portions
  • 2 cups white vinegar
  • 2 kilos mushroom, clean medium
  • 3 cloves garlic, whole
  • 1 lemon, , its juice
  • 2 tablespoons Red pepper, crushed (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • salt, and pepper
  • 6 leaves basil, slices

Preparation

Boil 4 cups of water and vinegar in a large saucepan. Once it boils, add mushrooms and boil again. Immediately put out fire and leave the mushrooms 15 minutes. Remove the mushrooms, strain and rinse.
Put the mushrooms in a deep bowl of glass or ceramic and mix with the other ingredients, refrigerate several hours or overnight, remove the garlic.

PRESENTATION

Sprinkle with basil.

Serve cold or at room temperature.
