Ingredients: 6 cups masa mix for tamales, for the dough; 3 cups lard, melted, for the dough; 5 cups chicken broth, for the dough; salt, for the dough; 2 tablespoons vegetable oil, for the sauce; 1/2 onions, in quarters, for the sauce; 1 clove garlic, for the sauce; 8 tomatoes, in halves, for the sauce; 2 morita chiles, rehydrated, seedless, for the sauce; 1/2 cups chipotle chile in adobo sauce, for the sauce; 1/2 cups chicken broth, for the sauce; salt, for the sauce; pepper, for the sauce; 1/2 teaspoons cumin, for the sauce; banana leaf, roasted; 2 cups chicken breast, cooked and shredded

Mix the lard and tamale flour with a hand mixer, gradually incorporating it while alternating with the chicken broth, without stopping to beat. Finally, add salt. You should obtain a fluffy and light dough. Set aside. Heat the oil in a pot over high heat and cook the garlic, onion, tomato, morita chiles, and chipotle chiles for 5 minutes or until they are slightly browned. Remove from the pot and blend with the chicken broth, salt, pepper, and cumin for 3 minutes. Return to the heat and cook the sauce for an additional 10 minutes; you should obtain a thick sauce.
