On a griddle, roast the nopales on both sides for about 15 minutes. In a skillet, cook the onion, garlic, celery, carrot, zucchini, chayote, shredded chicken, oregano, tomato puree, salt, and pepper in a little vegetable oil over medium heat until the vegetables soften (about 15 minutes).
