Ingredients

10 servings
  • 1 liter of Water
  • 8 pieces of chayote squash cut into 2 cm slices
  • enough of Salt
  • 2 cups of sour cream
  • enough of seasoning pepper with lemon
  • 1 Cup of bacon fried
  • 15 slices of Ham or turkey breast
  • 2 cups of mozzarella cheese grated
  • 1 Cup of Manchego cheese grated
  • 5 slices of bacon fried, to decorate

    Preparation

    Preheat the oven to 200 °C (392°F)
    Heat the water in a pot, bring it to a boil and cook the chayote squash with a little salt until they soften slightly. Drain and reserve.
    In a refractory oven, place a layer of chayote squash, cover with a little cream, add lemon pepper, sprinkle fried bacon, arrange slices of ham, mozzarella cheese and Manchego cheese.
    Repeat the process until the mold is filled with several layers. Top with cheese and sliced bacon. Bake for 15 minutes or until the chayotes are soft and the cheese has melted. Serve hot and enjoy.

    PRESENTATION

    Prepare in a oven proof dish and decorate with bacon.
